The purpose of OnlineArt is to offer you, the talented artist, a platform from which to sell your art online to the public, without any of the hassles of having your own web site and dealing with e-commerce. HOW IT WORKS
We market and sell your art via this site, OnlineArt, one of the smart's promoting destinations for serious customers wishing to buy art online. We will display, advertise and market your art online and offline, provide payment processing and credit card facilities, and work hard to bring appreciative customers to you.

Selling your art
Unfortunately because our web space is limited we can offer you limited space in our gallery. Or we have to charge you if you want promoting your art work. If you will chose any of our membership plans we will only make small money from your fee or if you sell your art, by taking a modest commission of 25%(The Artist for Free) or 5%(just for paid membership plans) from the selling price you set for each artwork. This is much lower than high street gallery rates. It means our interests are completely in line with yours. We can afford to be choosy about which artists we represent, ensuring customers are only exposed the very highest quality art.
There is absolutely no risk to you whatsoever; we carry all of the financial risk of running this site ourselves, including spending large amounts on search engine marketing and press advertisements.

Your key responsibilities
In return for all the work we do and the money we spend on your behalf, we ask that you be a responsible and professional artist in the following ways:
• you will package your artwork carefully and dispatch it promptly when you receive an order
• you will remove your profile from the site when you go on holiday and replace it when you get back (contact us by contact form)
• you will remove artworks immediately from the site when you sell them independently (contact us by contact form)

You set the price
You know how much your art sells for, so you decide the selling price of your art. We take a small commission of 25%(The Artist fo Free plan) or 5%(paid membership plans) from your price, just like a high-street gallery wouldn't. This commission or your fee covers our costs in advertising, marketing, customer services, credit card processing fees, invoicing, admin and VAT.

You must include packaging and delivery costs
You are responsible for the costs of materials, packaging, and delivery to anywhere in the European Community. Therefore you must set your price to include this cost. As an established artist, you probably already know how much it costs to package and deliver your style of artworks. If in doubt, £30 is usually sufficient for smaller pieces. For larger or heavy pieces contact your preferred courier to establish the cost. Check delivery prices carefully as you are wholly responsible for the cost of delivery.

HOW TO GET STARTED
To get the ball rolling, please click the link below to submit for one of our plans. Creating an account allows you sell at ArtOnline and provides us with the information we need to get your art onto the site.
During this process you'll be asked to provide contact details and other information we need to assess whether your art will sell.

ONCE YOU'VE CREATED YOUR ACCOUNT
Once you've created an account you can upload images of your artworks. We have made it really easy and simple to get your pictures online. we'll contact you to let you know if you have been accepted. Most artists are accepted, but please don't be offended if we think your art will not sell online. The whole process from application to acceptance normally takes about 48 hours. If you want to be sure if we will accepted you you can e-mail us photos from your art works at artonline@ymail.com and we let you know.

HOW YOU GET PAID
Customers pay online through our credit card processing facilities or by cheque. When payment is received, we will notify you of the details of the purchase by email, text message and if necessary by phone. You must then package and dispatch the artwork to arrive with the customer within 5 working days. Once we have confirmed that the artwork arrived safely, you will be paid approximately 28 days after that date (this is comprised of 7 days for delivery, 14 day money back guarantee, 7 days for return). You will be paid by cheque.

14 day money back guarantee
To stimulate sales and foster trust with potential customers, we offer all customers a 14 day no-quibble money back guarantee, which you must adhere to. The guarantee allows customers to return artworks within 14 days if they are not fully satisfied. They can return the artwork for any reason within this period. They will have to pay the postage and insurance costs if they return an artwork. You are not eligible to recoup the cost of delivering the artwork to the customer. Our current rate of return is approx 1 in 214 artworks returned.
